   I tend to prefer Macs for all computing, so if it fits your budget I think a MacBook is an excellent choice for DJing. They are less likely to crash and very well built. However, I'm sure that most modern laptops will do, especially if you're just starting out.

   A DJ's laptop should be a reliable, ultraportable machine, since you will be moving around alot. If you want to dj on a good system you should aim for a laptop with a dual or quadcore and lots of RAM (2GB to 4GB). A large screen will allow you to see exactly what you're doing when you're mixing on your laptop. A good amount of space is necessary but not essential since οthеr externals can be used. Choose an OS that allows your DJ software to work perfectly.

   If you are looking to Dj at a professional level, I say you go Mac!
